Chinese hotpot restaurant chain Little Sheep has published its semi-annual financial report for the first half of 2009.
According to the report, Little Sheep's combined revenue during the period was CNY630 million, a year-on-year increase of 18.5%; and the revenue from its restaurants was CNY520 million, an increase of 15.9% compared with the same period of last year.
In the first six months of 2009, Little Sheep's growth of individual restaurants decreased sharply from 12% in the same period of 2008 to 1.3%. However, incomes from group dining services, franchised restaurants, and frozen mutton products contributed to the overall revenue growth of the company.
In addition, the company opened 11 new directly-managed restaurants in the first half of 2009 and acquired nine franchised restaurants.
