The department store retailer Parkson China has signed a contract with Shimao Property Holdings Limited to enter Shaoxing Shimao Dear Town, a project developed by Shimao in Shaoxing, Zhejiang province.
Situated in the northeast of Shaoxing, Shaoxing Shimao Dear Town is in close proximity to the former urban area of Shaoxing, Shaoxing Economic Development Zone, and Paojiang Industrial Zone. The project covers a total construction area of 180,000 square meters, integrating fashion, lifestyle, leisure, dining, entertainment, shopping, travel, education, and cultural functions.
Located in Shaoxing Shimao Dear Town, the new Parkson department store is reported to be the retailer's first outlet in the Zhejiang marketplace and it will cover an area of 40,000 square meters. The store is expected to be opened before May, 2010, making it the 47th Parkson store in China.
