Hong Kong, China, December 18, 2017 /ChinaNewswire.com/ - First in Asia: innovative approach utilizes advanced technologies including machine learning, predictive modelling, and big data analysis
Hong Kong, Thursday, 18 December 2017, Jobable, Asia’s most advanced career platform with over a million users, has launched Human Capital Analytics; a data visualization solution giving HR professionals vital talent insights, and job seekers a greater opportunity to identify their best career opportunities.
With the ability to visualize high volumes of data in an easy-to-read, interactive interface, HR professionals can quickly determine and identify trends across the whole employment market. The initial data set, launched today, shows the output for twenty of Hong Kong’s largest employers with more to come in 2018. (https://labs.jobable.com).
Developed by Jobable Labs over a two year period using proprietary tools, Human Capital Analytics incorporates machine learning, predictive modelling and big data analysis, putting vast amounts of employment data to work.
“The aim of Human Capital Analytics is to help companies formulate strategies around talent acquisition and retention. Asia’s HR professionals can now have an instant understanding of their main competitors for talent, workforce comparisons, skills and competencies, and much more,” said Richard Hanson, Chief Executive Officer, Jobable.
Human Capital Analytics is available free with paid-for options depending on the insights required. The free option provides an opportunity to pick a large employer in Hong Kong (HSBC, Cathay Pacific, Huawei and others) to see the talent movements and skill distributions for that company.
Under the paid-for option, corporations can access more information and have the opportunity to overlay their own data to gain deeper insights through a more holistic, data-backed approach. Companies then can gain a better understanding in areas such as gender imbalances, skill gaps, succession planning, compliance and regulatory challenges in their workforce.
“A key tenet of Jobable is using data science to help job seekers simplify their search for employment. Human Capital Analytics is an extension of this belief and unique in the online job market today. Job seekers gain free actionable insights, allowing them to quickly identify new career opportunities in other organizations, or better navigate their way through their existing company,” added Hanson.
Founded in 2014, Jobable is a Hong Kong startup success story. The company has raised close to US$3 million in venture funding with their most recent round led by Asian-based investors including Welight Capital, a firm founded by former Tencent executives, and Garage Capital. Having established a strong job seeker base in Hong Kong, Jobable is now looking to cement its position as the main innovator within Asia’s human resources technology and analytics space.
Another First: Gamification to assist job-seekers
Another example of giving job seekers assistance, Jobable has created ‘CV Fighter’; a simple, engaging game to help people check if they have the skills necessary to compete for the job position they want. Unlike other job boards who screen out job applications based on keywords, CV Fighter is a live battle between jobseeker and robot.
Job seekers are told which of their skills are currently seeing high demand from employers and suggests other skills to the jobseeker should they wish to ‘upskill’ themselves to further enhance their employment prospects.
"It's all about handing the data back to the job seeker and letting them use it to prepare themselves and make more informed decisions. Using a game we can inform, educate and set expectations in a fun and engaging way that resonates with the younger work force, especially university graduates," said Luke Byrne, Jobable’s Chief Operating Officer.
